Silvana combined her love of brazilian music with a beautiful coming-of-age/love story for her final year project. Filmed in three parts over the space of a year there were many libities taken while shooting, playing brazilian beats outside a library didn't go down too well. Neither did sneeking in the behind a 'genuine' batucada band during the notting hill carnival.
After the original actress came down with mumps days before filming Laurie Hagan stepped in and created a stunning Maria.
