Biography

Born in Bradford and brought up in Huddersfield Pietro is in fact a born and bred Yorkshire man with a Chilean father. Pietro first discovered his passion for acting during high school when he was cast in a community play at the West Yorkshire Playhouse as the proverbial third spear thrower from the left. It was during this experience that he realised performing was something he relished and enjoyed more than anything else. An audition for Forty Years On by Alan Bennett, also at the Playhouse, was successful which saw Pietro playing Tredgold the Head of the rugger team. After that he played Steve in It shouldnt happen to a dog by Michael Birch. A piece totally devised by the actors and again at the Playhouse. After leaving Shelley High School, Pietro went on to do a B-Tec in Performing Arts at Huddersfield where he gained a distinction and a place at Manchester Metropolitan University. He left in 2001 and moved to London. After a few years away from the business he played Khlestecov in Gogol's The Government Inspector then The Prince of Wales in Howard Barkers The Love of a Good Man both at The Union Theatre. This brought him to the attention of The Actors File who now represent him. Since being with The Actors File Pietro has made numerous feature films, shorts and played the guest lead Kieran Blakley in Emmerdale, Roger in Casualty and recently finished filming THE BRIAN JACKSON SHOW playing the title role.
